The 10 Days of Action: Countdown to Commitments is a mobilization tool to help raise awareness, build momentum and deliver key civil society messaging around the UN Conference on the Financial and Economic Crisis and its Impact on Development, scheduled for 24 – 26 June, 2009, at the UN Headquarters in New York City.

The Global Call to Action Against Poverty is calling on the world to join social movements everywhere as we celebrate the ‘Day of the African Child’ and kick off an important 10-day initiative that will help deliver all of our demands to the world leaders at the United Nations Conference on the Financial and Economic Crisis and its Impact on Development on 24-26 June in New York City.

All GCAP coalitions and constituency groups are urged to put pressure on your Head of State to commit to attend the UN June Summt.  For developing countries, it is of utmost importance to commit early and request Heads of State from developed countries to attend the Summit.
